This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create and attach a new item in the SchoolCash Catalog.

Select the Items Tab and Create a New Item

Select School Store, then SchoolCash Catalog. The system defaults to the List View of items.

Note: Selecting the New Item button is an alternative option to start creating an item.

Permission Form


Permission Form Section


Include instructions on the trip information, legal information, etc. The Volunteer Option checkbox allows the purchaser to volunteer to be part of the trip.

Preview Item

View the item in SchoolCash Online before saving and attaching students—highly recommended.

A new window opens displaying a preview of the item on SchoolCash Online. Make any changes to your item before moving to Step 4.

Save and Attach

Choose one of the following save options:

  • Save and Attach: Saves the item and takes you to the Student Attachment window.
  • Save and Create New: Saves the item and opens a blank Create a New Item window.
  • Save and Copy: Saves the item, copies it, and opens the copy in a new window.
  • Save: Saves the item.
  • Cancel: Cancels all recent entries. A confirmation dialog appears; confirm cancellation to proceed.

After saving, proceed to attach the item to students:

Attach Item To:

All Students / Grade / Course / Homeroom / Group / Individual

View Selected Students: Lists students based on the 'Attach Item' selection.

Attach Students: Attaches the students based on the 'Attach Item' selection.
