Introduction
An item with an early bird discount up to a specific date, then moves to a higher price after that date, is probably not a good scenario for a variable price item. It may not be ideal, although it could still work in some cases.
An example of a variable price item would be lost books. Instead of creating numerous book items, where the item may only be attached to a few students, a variable price item is created where the actual price is entered in the SchoolCash Register for each student.
