QUESTION:
What displays on the View Items window under Purchased By and Quantity Sold when an item is partially waived by the school. Then parent pays remainder? Does it display as one total purchase or two?
RESPONSE:
Scenario: A $25 item is created and attached.
A portion of the fee is to be waived for a student.
PROCESS:
Waived Fee is entered first, as follows:
- Student is searched
- Item selected
- Payment Action - Waived Fee is selected
- Amount to be waived is entered
- Comment is entered
- Checkout action is selected, completing the waived payment
- The remaining amount is now considered by the program to be an outstanding FULL Payment, not a partial payment owing

SCHOOLCASH CATALOG > VIEW ITEMS WINDOW
Note the Purchased By and the Quantity Sold both indicate one for the previously completed Waived Fee of $12 for our scenario.
Remainder of $13 (which is then the full payment due to the entry of waived fee prior to remaining fee) is paid in the SchoolCash Register:
- Student is searched
- Item selected
- Payment Action - Full Payment is selected
- Amount auto-populates
- Checkout action is selected, completing the payment
SCHOOLCASH CATALOG > VIEW ITEMS WINDOW
Note the Purchased By and the Quantity Sold both indicate 1 (one) for the second payment (full payment of $13) for our scenario.
Two payment actions for the same student, but only one purchase is indicated as only one item has been sold.
