Introduction

This guide explains how to lock down a mobile carrier on your device to prevent it from continually searching for connections. By toggling off the Wi-Fi and manually selecting a stable network carrier, you can improve device performance and reduce battery usage.

Steps to Lock Down a Carrier

  1. Turn Off Wi-Fi
    1. Swipe down twice from the top of the screen to access quick settings.
    2. Tap the wording under the Wi-Fi symbol, then toggle off Wi-Fi.

  2. Open Settings
    1. Tap the Settings icon (cogwheel).
    2. If prompted, use the password pax9876@@.

  3. Access Mobile Network Settings
    1. Navigate to Network & Internet.
    2. Tap Mobile Network.
    3. Go to Advanced settings.
    4. Disable the toggle for Automatically Select Network and press OK when prompted.

  4. Select a Stable Network Carrier

    Choose a stable network carrier from the list displayed (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, etc.).
