Overview

Using SchoolCash Forms makes it easier for districts and schools to collect information and payments since parents can complete the form and pay for the item at the same time in SchoolCash Online.


In the April 2025 release of SchoolCash Forms+, pricing and calculations make it easier to build customized forms quickly.

With this functionality, users can create forms items such as prom tickets, band concerts, field trips with fees, school merchandise, musical instrument rentals, or club or athletics registrations. Users can also use SchoolCash Forms+ to collect donations for their schools.


Before you begin

Pricing & Calculations is available only if the feature has been enabled. Contact your Customer Success Manager about SchoolCash Forms+ to learn more.


Add calculations to your forms

Users can include calculations in their forms using one or more fields.


For example, the total cost of buying t-shirts can be calculated by multiplying the value associated with the t-shirt size selected in the Pick Your T-Shirt Size field by the value entered in the How many t-shirts? field.


For the calculation to work, values must be assigned to each t-shirt option.


Add a price to your forms

  • When a Number element is added to the form, users can set the Price toggle to On.
  • The Price toggle is automatically set to On when Number from Calculation is selected.
  • Fields feature a dollar sign symbol in the top right corner when they are set as a price.
  • On the published form, a dollar sign automatically appears in the field.

Reports

Users can access responses from forms in real time through reports in SchoolCash Catalog and SchoolCash Access, if applicable.


Published forms are mobile-friendly, making it easier for parents and guardians to complete forms on their phones or tablets.

You can use pricing and calculations in SchoolCash Forms+ to create customized forms that collect information and payment together, apply calculated totals, display pricing fields clearly, and review responses through reports.


Troubleshooting

  • You do not see pricing and calculations options in your form - Confirm that the Pricing & Calculations feature has been enabled for your organization.
  • Your calculation is not working - Make sure values have been assigned to the form options used in the calculation.
  • You want a field to behave like a price field - Turn the Price toggle to On, or use Number from Calculation, which turns it on automatically.
  • You need help building a form with pricing and calculations - Refer to How to Add Calculations and Pricing to SchoolCash Forms+.
