Overview
You can add a link on your school or district website that takes parents/guardians directly to the SchoolCash Online public items page. This is useful if you want families to skip the home page and go straight to items available for public purchase. These are items that may not be attached to students. Anyone, anywhere, can find these items with the website URL link
and purchase them.
Steps
- Create the item
- In the Availability Section, select the Public toggle
- Complete the item creation, then save
- From the View Items window, select the item, scroll to the window bottom
- Copy the item URL, which will display as such, starts with your district’s SchoolCash Online URL, followed by the item's /fee URL.
- Paste the full link on your school or district website.
Example
If your district URL is https://yourdistrict.schoolcashonline.com, the direct link to public item is:
https://yourdistrict.schoolcashonline.com/fee
Outcome
Parents/guardians who select the link are taken directly to the SchoolCash Online public items page.
Troubleshoot
- The link does not load the expected page > Confirm you used your district’s correct SchoolCash Online URL and that the item's /fee is added at the end (no extra spaces).
- You are not sure what your district URL is > Ask your District Administrator to confirm the correct SchoolCash Online URL for your district.
- If you have done all the troubleshooting steps and still have an issue, please contact your District Administrator.
