Overview

This article explains the payment methods that SchoolCash Register POS devices can accept and the ways purchasers can interact with the terminal. In addition to payment cards, POS devices can accept digital wallets, which means payment apps that use Apple Pay or Google Pay (for example, Cash App, Venmo, or Greenlight) can also be used when those wallets are enabled.


Before you begin

  • Supported payment options vary by district configuration and location.
  • Manual entry must be enabled to enter card details on the terminal.
  • Discover is available in SchoolCash Online for U.S.-based districts only and is not available for Point of Sale transactions at this time.


Payment options

  • Visa - Tap, insert, swipe, or manual entry. In Canada, this may include Interac depending on your configuration.
  • Mastercard - Tap, insert, swipe, or manual entry. In Canada, this may include Interac depending on your configuration.
  • American Express - May be available for U.S. transactional clients only, depending on your district configuration.
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay - Can be used where enabled on the terminal.
