Introduction
This article explains the credit card payment options available to parents and guardians in SchoolCash Online (SCO). These options provide flexibility for families managing school-related payments.
Credit Card Payment Options
Parents and guardians can use the following credit card payment options in SCO:
- Visa: Includes Interac Debit in Canada.
- Mastercard: Includes Interac Debit in Canada.
- AMEX: Only available to US transactional clients.
Note
If you don’t see AMEX in the checkout page, please contact your District Administrator. If you are a District Administrator, please contact your Account Manager (AM, previously known as CSM).
- Interac: Affects Canadian clients only (not supported in Digital Wallet options – Apple Pay and Google Pay).
Key Notes About Credit Card Payments
- Discover cards:
- Not supported in SCO.
- Accepted for in-person Point-of-Sale (POS) payment.
- Refunds for Interac Debit payments: Refunds cannot be processed back to an Interac Debit card for online payments. Refunds must be issued via check/cheque or cash. Refer to Processing Refunds Using SchoolCash POS for more information.

FAQs
Can parents use AMEX for payments?
AMEX is available only for US transactional clients. Parents in districts outside the US or using other models cannot use AMEX for SCO payments.
