QUESTION:

What report will show a list of posted Journal Entries for a specified date range?

 

After journal entries have been printed and posted, a Journal Entry Register may be printed for documentation. 

A journal entry register is printed by date range for All JE Types or only a Selected JE Type.  

There is also an option to exclude Transfers when creating this report.   

 

PROCESS:

From Registers > Journal Entry

To create a Register for All JE Types:

  1. Enter a Start Date and End Date.
    • To Exclude Transfers within the date range -  click the Exclude Transfers box.
    • To Include Transfers within the date range -  do not click the Exclude Transfers box.
  2. Click one of the Generate Report buttons.
    • Generate Report A - Z will list journal entries in order from oldest to newest. 
    • Generate Report Z – A will list journal entries in order from newest to oldest. 

 

To create a Register by a selected Journal Entry type:

  1. Enter a Start Date and End Date.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow in the Journal Entry Type box to select the JE type for the register. 
    • Only 1 selection can be made for the report. 
    • The All Transfers selection will include Fund Transfers, Multi Fund Transfers and Asset Transfers in a single report. 
  3.  Click one of the Generate Report buttons. 
    • Generate Report A - Z will list journal entries in order from lowest number to highest number. 
    • Generate Report Z – A will list journal entries in order from highest number to lowest number.
